In early years there were many ways to get Accor Platinum status very quickly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Instant upgrade link (!) publicly available<\/li><li>Amex Platinum complimentary benefit<\/li><li>All points count towards status<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These &#8220;loopholes&#8221; all died out in several years&#8217; time though. It is (almost) no longer possible to obtain Accor&#8217;s Platinum card apart from the hard way, but there are still some fast track options available for lower statuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[Instant <span class=\"has-inline-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color\">Platinum<\/span> &#8211; Limitless Invitation]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accor&#8217;s top-tier membership &#8211; Limitless elite can gift someone a Platinum card. This is, as far as I know, the <em>only<\/em> way nowadays to attain Accor Platinum without hitting the actual threshold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Limitless is an invitation-only tier and there won&#8217;t be many qualifying people out there, so this route is not really practical for most of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[Instant <span class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-amber-color\">Gold<\/span> &#8211; Ibis Business Card]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/01\/accor-ibis-business-booking-promotion.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/01\/accor-ibis-business-booking-promotion.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3086\" width=\"375\" height=\"133\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/01\/accor-ibis-business-booking-promotion.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/01\/accor-ibis-business-booking-promotion-300x106.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 375px) 100vw, 375px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ibis.accor.com\/business\/ibis-business-card\/index.en.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ibis Business Card<\/a> is a product designed for the Ibis brand specifically. Cardholders get discount on both the room rate and F&amp;B during hotel stays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On top of that, you can enjoy <strong>complimentary Gold status<\/strong> that is valid for a year, and extended every time you renew your membership. Depending on where you live, an annual subscription costs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>UK &#8211; \u00a365<\/li><li>Switzerland &#8211; 99 CHF<\/li><li>Other countries &#8211; \u20ac90<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If I remember correctly, hotels run promotions sometimes so it may be even cheaper to purchase it at the front desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accor&#8217;s Gold membership comes with room upgrade, early check-in, late check-out and welcome drinks. As described in <a href=\"https:\/\/group.accor.com\/en\/investors\/individual-shareholders\/shareholders-club\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shareholders Club<\/a>&#8216;s t&amp;c, you need to buy 50 bearer share or 1 registered share to qualify &#8211; I have no clue how these two are different..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is definitely not as easy as buying an Ibis Business Card though, and the Gold card is only valid until the end of next year. I don&#8217;t know if you can extend it by repeatedly buying and selling your shares&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>[Instant <span class=\"has-inline-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color\">Silver<\/span> &#8211; Accor Plus]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/10\/accor-plus.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/10\/accor-plus.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6242\" width=\"311\" height=\"53\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/10\/accor-plus.png 414w, https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/10\/accor-plus-300x51.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 311px) 100vw, 311px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accorplus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Accor Plus<\/a> is a paid scheme &#8211; separate to <em>ALL<\/em> &#8211; in Asia Pacific only. As a member, you are upgraded to Silver upon activation and it is extended indefinitely as long as you renew your membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Silver is for sure not as good as Gold since it only comes with welcome drinks and (probably weaker) late check-out. However, Accor Plus offers extensive benefits including 10% extra room discount and up to 50% off restaurant bills etc, so the Silver status is more like just a sweetener.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You cannot combine your Ibis Business account with Accor Plus. However, it may be possible to book hotels via Accor Plus to enjoy the discount, and then present your Gold card at check-in for more beefits.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve talked about Accor&#8217;s loyalty programme before.
