A few days ago, I also came across a rather unusual app from the Lufthansa Group called Uptrip. The official description features one particularly intriguing keyword: NFT. I don’t remember when’s the last time I heard that word…<\/p>\n\n\n

Putting the buzzwords aside, Uptrip is essentially a card-collecting game, which should sound familiar to most people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can collect cards by scanning Lufthansa Group boarding passes, visiting promotional desks at airports, playing mini-games in the app, or simply buying and trading cards with other players. Collect enough cards and you can redeem various rewards, although some rewards require specific cards rather than simply a certain number of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The easiest way to get cards is by scanning your boarding pass. You can also enter your booking details manually. For each flight segment, you’ll be shown four cards and can choose two of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After signing up for Uptrip, you can also add flights from the previous 12 months, although you’re limited to two past bookings only. It’s therefore worth choosing bookings with as many flight segments as possible, since the number of cards you receive is based on the number of segments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
