Points Sale<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

IHG’s familiar points sale<\/a> is back once again. Buy at least 40,000 points by 17 August and you’ll receive a 100% bonus, effectively paying half price. You can purchase up to 200,000 points before the bonus, bringing the usual price down 0.5c or 0.37p per point.<\/p>\n\n\n

The promotion may be targeted, and the minimum purchase required for the full bonus appears to vary between members. Even if your account qualifies at a lower threshold, you’ll still need to buy at least 26,000 points to achieve the lowest effective price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IHG points continue to hold their value reasonably well, so it’s worth stocking up if you have a redemption in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Hotels<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, IHG has also refreshed its “new hotels” redemption promotion<\/a>. Redeem points by 31 January, 2027 at participating new or newly renovated hotels and you’ll receive a 15% discount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
