Air France\u2013KLM launched <a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/flyingblue.statusmatch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">a new (paid) campaign<\/a> just a couple of days ago to poach ITA members, and today the long-awaited <a href=\"https:\/\/lufthansa.statusmatch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lufthansa status match<\/a> has finally arrived!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ITA Plus \u2192 Lufthansa Frequent Traveller (<strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color\">Silver<\/mark><\/strong>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ITA Premium \/ Executive \u2192 Lufthansa Senator (<strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-amber-color\">Gold<\/mark><\/strong>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No fees required<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Status valid until <strong>February 2027<\/strong> upon successful match<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/lufthansa-senator.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/lufthansa-senator.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25238\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/lufthansa-senator.png 500w, https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/lufthansa-senator-300x180.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>ITA Airways had very generous status match and extension campaigns in the past, and many readers probably already have an ITA Premium or Executive card, and this Lufthansa match has been highly anticipated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lufthansa Senator equals Star Alliance Gold, which means perks across the alliance (Lufthansa Group, Air China, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, ANA, Turkish Airlines, United and Air Canada etc.), including priority check-in and boarding, extra baggage allowance, fast-track security and business-class lounge access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The best part: it\u2019s free. The tricky part: although there&#8217;s no country restriction mentioned in the T&amp;Cs it might be in place. When I first selected United Kingdom it threw an error whereas switching to Italy worked.
