{"id":23745,"date":"2025-05-20T21:53:28","date_gmt":"2025-05-20T20:53:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/?p=23745"},"modified":"2025-05-22T09:28:23","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T08:28:23","slug":"cathay-pacific-2000-mile-award-and-bonus-miles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/2025\/05\/20\/cathay-pacific-2000-mile-award-and-bonus-miles\/","title":{"rendered":"Cathay Pacific 2,000-mile award and bonus miles"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>HK Express, a limited-service subsidiary of Cathay Pacific, has been running a promotion called Full Miles from time to time. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkexpress.com\/en\/Book\/Full-Miles-For-Flight-Ticket\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">As you can see here<\/a> a new one popped up:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Book by May 22<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travel between June 10 and August 30<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One-way ticket starts at 2,000 miles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Destination includes cities mainland China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan. Note that there are different fare bands: the cheapest <em>Ultra Lite<\/em> fare allows nothing but one small personal item, in line with Ryanair and easyJet.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/cathay-pacific-summer-travel-bonus.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"201\" src=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/cathay-pacific-summer-travel-bonus.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23747\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/cathay-pacific-summer-travel-bonus.png 500w, https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/cathay-pacific-summer-travel-bonus-300x121.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile Cathay Pacific has launched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/cathay-summer-travel-en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">a Summer Travel promotion<\/a> where members can earn a bonus when completing transactions with their partners. Most of them are non-exciting &#8211; for example even with a 50% bonus you still shouldn&#8217;t convert Shangri-La points into Cathay miles. You can however, earn a few more miles when renting a car with Avis and Hertz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most meaningful offer is, you will earn a 10% bonus when earning or converting from a range of partners. The list includes many hotel programs like Marriott, Accor and Hilton, with the addition of Shell, Avis, Sixt and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/2024\/04\/24\/book-exclusive-hotel-rates-virtuoso-marriott-hilton-etc-online-with-badazhou\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Badazhou<\/a> etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sadly the bonus is only capped at 1,000 miles. Interestingly, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/2025\/04\/08\/cathay-pacific-fiesta-offer-earn-up-to-7000-miles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Cathay&#8217;s previous &#8220;Fiesta&#8221;<\/a> is still ongoing (until May 31), which means you can take advantage of both offers at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A possible scenario:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Transfer 3,000 Marriott points = 1,000 miles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer 1,000 Amex points = 1,000 miles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Earn 500+1,000+100 = 16,00 bonus miles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The new offer ends June 30th and you must fill out a form to register first.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HK Express, a limited-service subsidiary of Cathay Pacific, has been running a promotion called Full Miles from time to time.
