Here is something that started circulating yesterday. I wasn’t sure about writing it as the more publicised it is the riskier it gets, but well, I guess it’s down to each one’s own judgement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alaska Air has a fast track offer<\/a> extended to those from University of Washington. You get Alaska MVP (Oneworld Ruby<\/mark><\/strong>) immediately for 180 days, during which you can complete their flying challenge to achieve an even higher status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is the hack: if you enter your personal email address, although an error message is displayed it doesn’t stop you from submitting the request.<\/p>\n\n\n

You’ll then head to your mailbox to click the confirmation email, after which the upgrade should be reflected in your account.<\/p>\n\n\n

Oneworld Ruby is the lowest elite tier so it doesn’t come with substantial benefits, but usually free seat selection, business class check-in and sometimes extra baggage allowance. I happen to have a few BA flights lined up in April so the seat selection perk is handy.<\/p>\n\n\n
