There are three changes to the room upgrade benefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- The phrasing “to the best available room” is removed<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Suite upgrade at Ritz Carlton is extended to Platinum members<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Upgrade with club access at Ritz Carlton is no longer explicitly excluded<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
The first change sounds negative, but in reality I don’t think it’s ever enforced and best available<\/em> is pretty much down to the interpretation of the individual hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next two changes are good news, especially if Ritz Carlton hotels start being more generous with club lounge access. Such things are always going to be at the hotels’ discretion though, so I won’t have my hopes high.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
