{"id":22911,"date":"2025-03-13T21:26:41","date_gmt":"2025-03-13T21:26:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/?p=22911"},"modified":"2025-03-14T09:19:48","modified_gmt":"2025-03-14T09:19:48","slug":"xiamen-air-joins-skyteams-lounge-access-trial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/2025\/03\/13\/xiamen-air-joins-skyteams-lounge-access-trial\/","title":{"rendered":"Xiamen Air joins Skyteam&#8217;s lounge access trial"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We wrote about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/2025\/01\/20\/skyteam-to-add-lounge-access-to-domestic-flights\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Skyteam&#8217;s new lounge access rule<\/a> a while ago: starting from April 1, Elite Plus members will be able to enter some Skyteam lounges even when travelling on a domestic flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you remember, the list wasn&#8217;t long, but it looks like more airlines have been convinced: China&#8217;s Xiamen Air made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xiamenair.com\/brandnew_CN\/about\/business-notice\/notice2025031389637.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">an announcement<\/a> today, in which their six lounges are also mentioned:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Xiamen &#8211; XMN (hub)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fuzhou &#8211; FOC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quanzhou &#8211; JJN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shanghai &#8211; SHA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hangzhou &#8211; HGH<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tianjin &#8211; TSN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/03\/xiamen-air-first-class-lounge.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" src=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/03\/xiamen-air-first-class-lounge.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22913\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/03\/xiamen-air-first-class-lounge.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/03\/xiamen-air-first-class-lounge-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Xiamen Air isn&#8217;t a big airline (by China&#8217;s standard) and that&#8217;s actually all the lounges they operate. Xiamen Air traditionally has a bad reputation for being stingy &#8211; for example they rarely open up any award space at all &#8211; so honestly I&#8217;m very surprised by the move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/a.storyblok.com\/f\/271050\/x\/054e82a684\/domestic-lounge-access.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Skyteam&#8217;s official pdf<\/a> for the list of participating lounges (it&#8217;s not updated to reflect Xiamen&#8217;s addition yet).
