These are standalone bookings, i.e. not part of the flight package deals. I remember them pushing it quite hard and the agent would try to sell it when I called to book a flight.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/01\/avios-hotels-logo.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"130\" src=\"http:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/01\/avios-hotels-logo.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22374\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/01\/avios-hotels-logo.png 500w, https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/01\/avios-hotels-logo-300x78.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>As you can see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avios.com\/spend-avios\/rewards\/?tab=hotels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">on their homepage<\/a>, there&#8217;s currently a promotion running until February 24 under which you&#8217;ll earn double Avios (20 Avios \u00a31) for all bookings. If you value Avios at 1p then that&#8217;s a very impressive 20% rebate!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the maths isn&#8217;t right if their rates are inflated. I&#8217;ve checked a few hotels in London for an upcoming Saturday, and here&#8217;s the price comparison between Avios Hotels and Expedia:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Park Plaza London Westminster Bridge &#8211; \u00a3181 \/ \u00a3214<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>InterContinental London Park Lane &#8211; \u00a3311 \/ \u00a3311<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>London Marriott Regents Park &#8211; \u00a3159 \/ \u00a3159<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hilton London Metropole &#8211; \u00a3169 \/ \u00a3169<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>So they&#8217;re not playing any game here by charging extra, and in one case it&#8217;s even cheaper than Expedia.
