When making such bookings you are basically just paying cash on the spot to buy the points you need, therefore it&#8217;s a pure reward booking by nature and you don&#8217;t earn any points for the cash portion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That said, the offer may bring along a good opportunity to bag some cheap IHG points. The Two InterContinental Alliance hotels at Macau &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/londoner-macau-en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The Londoner<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/venetian-macau-en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The Venetian<\/a> &#8211; for example, are &#8220;selling&#8221; points for as low as<strong> 0.5c<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/ihg-points-cash-20-off-macau.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/ihg-points-cash-20-off-macau.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12701\" width=\"236\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/ihg-points-cash-20-off-macau.jpg 472w, https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/06\/ihg-points-cash-20-off-macau-177x300.jpg 177w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 236px) 100vw, 236px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you cancel a Cash &amp; Points booking, the cash portion won&#8217;t be refunded, however the full amount of points are deposited back to your account. Note that however, <strong>such bookings may be non-refundable on certain dates<\/strong>, so read carefully before proceeding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">0.5c (or $5 per 1,000 points) is as low as IHG goes when selling points via public promotions. Cash &amp; Points can actually go even lower at times &#8211; in fact some hotels in China were doing 0.48c but it only survived a couple of hours.
