To participate you need to be an elite member with one of the following hotel programs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Marriott Bonvoy (<em>Gold<\/em>+)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IHG Rewards Club (<em>Gold<\/em>+)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>World of Hyatt (<em>Explorist<\/em>+)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Best Western Rewards (<em>Diamond<\/em>+)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choice Privileges (<em>Diamond<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your program is not listed you could still select\u00a0<em>Other\u00a0<\/em>and provide the details. Some of these statuses are extremely easy to obtain \u2013 take IHG for example, you can simply pay $200 to join\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/2020\/06\/30\/hotel-loyalty-programme-series-intercontinental-amassador\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">their Ambassador program<\/a> which comes with Platinum status immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once your application is approved you will be upgraded to&nbsp;<strong>Gold&nbsp;<\/strong>with a 90-day trial. During the trial period, you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Stay 8 nights and keep the&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-amber-color\">Gold&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong>status, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay 14 nights to upgrade to&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color\">Diamond<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;ve seen changes to the challenge requirement over the time but it has remained the same in the last three years.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/02\/hilton-gold-diamond.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"404\" src=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/02\/hilton-gold-diamond.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11149\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/02\/hilton-gold-diamond.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/02\/hilton-gold-diamond-300x152.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/02\/hilton-gold-diamond-768x388.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you complete either challenge, your status will be valid through <strong>March 31, 2027<\/strong>. Note that you can only participate in the challenge once in your lifetime, and reward stays don&#8217;t count. You cannot enrol if you are currently a Gold or Diamond member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you don\u2019t have status with Hilton and have an upcoming stay with them, it\u2019s a no brainer to sign up to this status match promotion. Gold status gets you free breakfast right away (except in the U.S. where you only get a credit) plus room upgrade, and if you can stay enough to achieve Diamond, you will enjoy guaranteed executive lounge access at most Hilton\u2019s brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note that if you work for a large company, you may qualify for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verylvke.com\/en\/2025\/01\/24\/instant-hilton-gold-diamond-for-targeted-corporate-employees-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">a better status match offer<\/a> which doesn&#8217;t have the &#8220;once in a lifetime&#8221; limitation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been years since Hilton launched an official (and almost permanent) status match and challenge program.
